Heh heh--Mossflower!

Let's see: small animal, like a chipmunk or something, hangs out with larger animal, like a badger. They have to find an artifact. There's a lot of great vegetarian food and some rabbits who are somehow archers even though they don't have opposable thumbs. There is an Abbey although the religion involved is vague, no humans, and although there is alcohol animals that would normally be carnivores (i.e., badgers) are perfectly content with oatmeal and cheese. The vermin, like weasles and rats, are the enemies; and there are swordfights.

About right? :D

I suppose there are worse salt mines to work in, but yeah, I can see that becoming real work. Makes you wonder if a writer wants to just write a real stinkeroo so he can argue, "see? it isn't selling anymore, now let me write about robots!"
