ah, i am referring to a function of celtx, not ywriter, my bad...! celtx has a functionality that stores info similarly to an index card filing system-- sets of "cards" with development lists for characters, scenes and settings, notes, plot points, I think you can even load photos/drawings-- that are all stored together as a "project", and has some nifty character development note storage that might be useful in novel plotting-- I dont have it installed right now but if I remember rightly you can link characters to scenes and so on for continuity, pacing, etc.
and since the character profiles are referenced it's easier to find stuff and check details.
(it basically does all the dirty work of a flow chart or index cards, and electronically, which is useful when one is as scatterbrained as I am. So I think what I am saying is I should just buy more index cards.... )
