Steve, Novel writing software is incredibly handy for the reasons Beck stated. It keeps everything organized in a single area. That helped me keep from getting distracted last year. Sort of. ![]() The one I used last year was yWriter5. It's free and works on PCs. There are a few others out there as well, though most you have to pay for after a trial, blah, blah, blah... Scrivener, the all-mighty novel writing software, is coming to Windows this year! Whoo!! They're releasing the beta in time for NaNo. So, if you're brave, you can do that. They hope to have the working version out by the beginning of next year. I'm going to download it and play with it this year. I might retreat back to yWriter5, but one never knows. Of course, Scrivener is always good for Mac and they have the special demo (fully loaded, works fine), just for NaNo. It lasts 6 weeks instead of 4. They're also releasing the new version in time for NaNo. Are they sneaky or what?! ![]() So, there. My two plugs. I can go down the list of PC compatible novel writing software. However, yWriter5 is my fave. http://www.spacejock.com/yWriter.html There is a special URL for the new Scrivener NaNo demo that will not be available until October 25th. See the NaNo site under "Special Offers" for that one. ![]() ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** Ready for NaNoWriMo 2010!!
