Hello, Red! And Welcome to the insanity that is NaNo. It is a blast and I hope you enjoy it. *Bigsmile*

Many of us have books here on WDC and we're going to publicly post them as we write them. This is only for the brave of heart or incredibly stupid (this is probably me). However, what you write during NaNo is just for YOU. You never have to let another living soul see it. I think this is what makes NaNo so liberating. You can try something completely off the wall if you want. *Smile*

When you pass the 50K word mark, you load what you've written into the official NaNo word counter and have it verified. That becomes available during the last week of November. Until then, you trust the word count in your word processor and input the number by hand. However, what you copy and paste into that box is forever wiped out as soon as you leave that page. It is not stored on their servers at all.

So... It's entirely up to you if you want to share what you're writing or not.
