The years that I have completed NaNoWriMo, I wrote a fictionalized account of my own life at age 12/13 - with its accompanying heartaches and loss of innocence - so I knew what the beginning, middle, and ending would be. I also wrote a romance a different year and completed it, but so often I get "stuck" and I don't quite know where to go next.
By taking this new setting and plot, I'm hoping that my creativity will be awakened and I'll be able to make it past the beginning and middle (I'm fine at that) and complete a story.
And this year I do not have any parents who are ill, I'm not ill with being pregnant, and my infant is now a semi-self-sufficient toddler who sleeps at regular nap and night times. LOL
Again, good luck to all who are going for NaNoWriMo. It's a fun time!
