My Nano strategy doesn't work that way. I'm writing a 24-chapter novel, and each chapter contains a minimum of 2,100 words. That means I won't reach 20,000 words until around chapter 9. The good news is I only missed one day due to being sick, and I'm working on chapter Four today. I should hit the 8,000 mark some time later today. I'm at school right now and they're about to shut down the library for the day, so I'll have to wait until I get home to finish the rest on my laptop.
I did write about 1,350 words so far for today's chapter. I'm putting Nano first and school second this month, I know that isn't wise, but I think I can go farther with my writing then I can with what I'll learn in college.
