I don't edit big, but I do some as I post. If I didn't, it would bug me and eventually stop the flow.
A lesser reason for my mini-editing is that I have floating fingers as I type, for example: hitting a period instead of a comma or hitting s instead of d. Then, during the course of thinking, I also write the same word twice.
