My characters will sometimes do things or tell me things about themselves that I hadn't expected prior to the moment of finding out but that happens any time of year for me. In my last mutant novel my character randomly decided to be left handed, for example. Tonight, when the one elf was talking to the dwarf he has been traveling with he state he knew how to knit and my next thought was "what?". lol
