The WDC NanoLounge

My writing space is different a lot of times. I love to write at a local coffee shop where I used to go to write radio ads when I worked for a radio station a few years back. It's just an atmosphere that I like. But normally, my writing space consists of my MP3 player and my Netbook. I bought a little Netbook with a 9-hour battery life last year. It works amazingly well for my writing. Obviously, it's not a high-powered device, so I'm not surfing the Net at light speed and checking out awesome YouTube videos. Okay, I don't really do that anyway, but if I did, I wouldn't be as tempted with this netbook as I am with my regular laptop or desktop.

My TV is usually on, but the volume is turned down. It's more for changing light in the room than anything - usually ESPN or something. My MP3 player is in my ears. I usually try to have a snack handy - and a beverage. Coffee, Diet Coke, and maybe even a Lite beer from time to time and depending on the time of day. I like to write after my Rat Terrier, Beagle, and Hubby have all gone to bed, so the hosue is usually pretty quiet. I'm kicked back on the couch with the Netbook in my lap.
