I'm typing mine on a computer. I either use the computers at school at my community college, or when I'm at home I use my laptop. First I wrote a paradigm with each chapter broken down into specific sections, then I have individual chapter outlines based on what's in the paradigm. Each chapter outline is a separate item here at Writing.com, with my eyes only access.
On Saturdays I go to my local library because printing the first ten pages is free there, and I print six chapter outlines. The first week I printed chapter outlines 1 through 6, and the second Saturday I printed chapter outlines 7-12. This coming Saturday I will print chapter outlines 13-18.
My goal is to write a 24 chapter novel, with each chapter consisting of a minimum of 2,100 words. This should have me at 50,000 words by the end of chapter 24. I find that having the outlines to work from really helps, and It only takes me just under two hours to type a 2,100 word chapter.
