I'm writing mine all on the computer and I still have that problem sometimes! LOL. I think that would be one thing that would slow me down is to write everything by hand and then type it into the computer - I'd be so tempted to spend a bunch of time "fixing" things I saw wrong.... actually, I know that would be a problem. I started my first NaNo that way because I was more used to writing things out than I was typing on the computer. It didn't take me long before I realized that either way I was going to have the same problem... and I was better off if I just didnt' look back but kept forging ahead. I don't think you're anal at all. That's just your internal editor trying to give your best to the world.
I made an even better stride this year and used my novel writing software as my sole area to prepare. The last two years I used a storyboard and Post-It notes to prep my novel. This year I made the jump. I can't say I'm completely comfortable with it yet, but I'm sure I'll get more used to it - just like I did doing all of my novel in a digital format.
Good Luck and Write on! (and don't look back, internal editor!)
