I've heard that this happens to a lot of people. Brilliant new ideas pop up while your writing, probably because you have so much creativity flowing right now. Stick with the Banshee novel!!! There aren't nearly enough stories about banshees and succubus' are much more common. Plus you can always come back to your Franciscan nunubus when NaNo is over! And then maybe you'll get two great novels out of one month.
Of course, there is another option. Many people write more than one novel during NaNo and you are so far ahead, it might be worth considering that possibility. You don't technically have to finish either novel during November. Word count is strictly what matters, and you've already got that taken care of. Just a thought.
