I won last year, so I know what it feels like. Last year was my first win, and there's no way a win this year would have been as amazing. I did find myself wishing NaNo was over already so I could move on with my ideas in my writing life. I guess, at some point, I sabotaged myself so I could do just that. It's possible that's what happened. I'm happy with the direction I'm facing and I'm stepping into an entirely different world. Perhaps that's even where the energy to write today came from. The fact it was the official first step. Either way, it's all good.
