That's right. When you've developed an emotional attachment to a story and its traditional forms - from the details of story line to the portrayals of the characters by specific actors - it's really difficult to keep an open mind when its comes to the creators' revision. The word itself means "to see again", right? Presumably from an altered perspective; in this case the difference between 1966 and 2009. That's quite a difference!
