HELP! Newbie troubles

Um... hello! My name's Kleo, and I'm newbie (well... I'm more like a super-mega-uber-newbie, actually :) ) and I need some help. I'm having a hard time getting my work noticed, and I really need people to review my writing. See, writing is my WORLD, but the amateur-ness of my pieces is starting to drive me insane... So that's where you guys come in! Help! Tell me what my writing needs to be splendiferous! If you don't, I will sit here on my couch watching Supernatural, eating Oreos, and SUFFERING! Thanks :)
