That is because my blog voice is my conscious mind. My stories are from my subconscious mind. When I got to fifty years old, I made a list of things which I had always wanted to do but could never find the time or motivation. One of these was writing. Not necessariy story writing. Before I retired I did a lot of engineering technical writing, but expressing my feelings and thoughts was a skill I didn't have. After five years of writing for myself, I was astonished at how good they were. I know that most other people would find them childish and clumsy, but so what. It's all relative. I can express my feelings and ideas in blogs and stories infinitely better than I could ten years ago. That's progress as far as I'm concerned. If people don't like my writing, then I welcome them to tell me why and I'll try and improve. It's all relative.
