Donating gift points to someone or a group/contest is done through the writing.com message system. You will notice on all email and message post forms there is a space below the message window where you can send gps with the message.

It will say "You have xxxx gift points. Send xxxx gps with this email." or "Include xxxx gps...." you just select the amount in the space provided.

The most common way to donate to contests is to just leave a message in the contest forum with gps attached.

Some groups/contests, not mine, have dedicated 'banks' where they will ask you to make donations to a group/contest. The system is the same but you leave the message in the bank forum instead.
