If I was posting my list today, I'd have Christopher Paolini's series listed too. I just finished Brisingr within the last month. Hated for it to end. I actually listened to all three books; the narrator was fantastic . At the end of Brisingr, Paolini was interviewed, I think, by his publicist. Very interesting to listen to his writing process.
