However, if you write your NaNo novel like you write about zombies, you've got a sure-fire winner. As a Zombie Devotee, I LOVED it!
This will be my 6th NaNo; I stalled out at 22K in my first, 2006; won 2007-2010, and I am a totally seat-of-the-pants writer who abhors outlining. BUT I'm doing the Experimental Plot Challenge and will also be doing the Oct. NaNo Prep that Dawn mentions--because those help me think out the plot, get to know my characters, figure out what spookies I can add-etc. Do know that the 2011 NaNo is going to be Book Four of a historical horror Supernatural series of which Books One, Two, and Three have been totally seat-of-the-pants, channeling-the-Muse writing.
