Hola everyone and Jo:
This is my first NaNoWriMo. I've signed up, followed the instructions to click on the link for my word counter; hope it's not too early; and am working on an outline which is allowed according to the rules. My understanding according to the rules is:
you are not allowed to start writing your novel until the 1st of November, and you have to finish by the deadline which is the 30th of November. You are allowed to decide in your outline characters, plot, chapters, sub-chapters, story scenes, and any other things which are appropriate for your outline about your novel. As for the list of writers mentioned in the intro for this forum, I don't know yet, I'm going to take a look.

I talked with a friend who has entered the NaNo for several years and he said it is something to prepare for so that you can at least have a road map to follow; your outline.
