Good for I am using note pad + ywriter which was developed by a NaNo writer; search ywriter and you should be able to find it or if not let me know and I'll get the url for you = excel. with these tools i have several ways of working through challenges without writing anything for the novel. Mostly I'm setting a time line, chapter events in the order I want them fr now, characters and info about them just enough to spark further writing when the time comes. I plan to do my best, however, it is the first draft, so there is plenty of time after NaNo to write your second, third, and if necessary fourth draft
