This is what I've learned
This is my first Nano. I live in Brisbane, Australia. Nov. 1st starts here starts before N.Y. I called my ML (some kind of liason officer) in Brisbane. She said, "You don't paste your novel until Nov. 25th, for verification. You can add to it after that time, up until the cut-off date - Nov. 30th. The word count doesn't start working until the day it opens-November 1st. and do that daily" - or whatever.

Does this sound right?
