I'm not quite sure what you're asking.

It's true they don't turn the counter on until Nov 1st where you can paste in what you have of your novel everyday in order to get an updated status of how many words you have written.

When you want to verify your novel, you put the entire thing into a separate counter for verification and techincally you can do that whenever you want, but it's probably better to do it towards the end of the month, or at least when you know you've reached 50,000 words.
