Don't worry! If you can make it to 7K by tonight (whenever tonight is for you) you'll be right on the mark. I'm aiming for a higher word count and pushing myself hard simply because I know that my novel is going to be way more than 50K and I want it to be done by Nov 30th. But there's no rule saying the story needs to be finished by Nov 30th. You can just hit 50K and then keep going in december. That's what I did my first year. Just keep writing!
