Don't worry about other people's progress, a gal on my team wrote 19,000 words on the first day. How do these people accomplish this? I have no clue. Personally, I am a full-time student at a junior college, and I am on a self-imposed Nano scedule of 2,100 words a day, one chapter a day. With school and Nano-ing, that doesn't leave much room for anything else, but I'm just plugging along at 2,100 words a day and so far I haven't missed a day.
As long as you meet your quota and reach 50,000 words by November 30th, then you don't need to compare yourself to these marathoners who write excessively long Nano novels.
