Accuracy of word counters
I read a thread at the official Nanowrimo site that said some word counters are more accurate than others. I've been using Microsoft Word and OpenOffice to count the words in my Nano chapters, but when I started posting my Nano 2011 novel at a certain website, the word counter there had my word counts listed a lot lower than the word count I've been using. I'm wondering if some word counters are more accurate than others. What do you guys think?
