A nano place to chat about NanoWrimo... |
*hugs ruwth* Sorry to hear a review has discouraged you. I would say don't let it but I know that is easier said then done. I've gotten a few low scoring reviews or ones with wording that has bothered me before, and on non-nano stories I have edited even. Back before I started making all visible stories as "rating requires review" I would get "drive-by" ratings and when I would look at the items statistics there would be a rating or two that was 2.5 or lower. I remember at least one where I had a 1 star rating given to an item. So now I put that to rate there must be a review. But for NaNoWriMo... I keep my stories private or passkey protected. The only scene I displayed last year when I did it in 13 days was on my non-WDC blog because some people were curious as to whether the writing would make sense at that speed. I'd agree, maybe nano is more a time to not allow ratings because you don't want something like this making you lose hope on the project. You want to feel determined to finish and I hope you can move past this and keep going. You're doing great and can make it all the way to the end.
