If you click on the picture at the top of the item (or in my signature ), it will take you to the Power Reviewers Holiday Auction. The purpose of an auction is to bid on packages that you would like. The packages include various different rewards (reviews, personalized signatures, raffle tickets etc.). You can bid on as many packages as you have GPs to pay for but you will only pay out those GPs if you having the highest bid when the auction closes (Dec 11).

Bidding wars is when two people are constantly outbidding each other for the same package. It is fun (I got into one last auction ) but it does drive up the price of a package .
