Writing challenge: Capitol
This doesn't fit the prompt exactly - it goes way over word count for one thing - so it's not eligible for the contest, but the prompt got my creative juices flowing and I thought someone might read it and let me know what they think. This really is more the start of a steampunk novel than a short story, but so much fun!
