Welcome to Non-Humans R Us

Hello, everybody. About 1/10th of my writing is about my old virtual buddy, Oscar Rat. Those are all rodent-oriented stories, maybe a couple-hundred by now.

I think Oscar is the man I’d like to be. He’s adventurous and active, while I’m a worn-out old man that sits around all day. Although Oscar tries hard to act like a human, he often reverts to his real character as a rat.

His favorite saying is that as a friend everything I own also belongs to him. Everything he owns also belongs to him and whatever he can appropriate also belongs to him.

Over time, I've developed an entire menagerie of animalistic characters in my mind, many with well-developed characteristics. So many that I mentally house them in a virtual apartment house in the depths of a fertile brain.

Whenever I’m strapped for story ideas, I can always find one with him in it.
