Welcome to WDC, S.C. I think you'll find this site a great fit for you. I completely understand what it's like to have your writing torn down; that happened to me some years ago. I stopped writing for several years as a result. Then I decided I couldn't not write. I began posting some stories once again, and soon after I discovered Writing.Com. This place really saved me in that regard. I can't tell you there aren't some who may not support you fully, but they are very few on WDC. Just remember, only you can tell that story in your head--no one else. You may get feedback with which you don't agree. You have control over how you choose to use that, just as we all do. Take the part you think you can use and discard the rest. Be positive in how you treat others, and I believe you'll receive the same back. It's good that you have lots of ideas. Take a few minutes each day and write something about one of them. Soon you'll have stories to post, and you'll be on your way. Publishing can be hard, but it's doable if you really want it.
