June 16 - Glass
Walkway

Glass walkway, so deserted,
silence beckons, all is still;

rays of sunlight pass into
panes so fragile, softly spill.

Path beneath this covered glass,
a lost passage is a thrill…

wonder if it will be found
to sense peace it shall instill.

Form: Lüshi
It consists of eight lines of five or seven syllables, each line set down in accordance with strict tonal patterns.

Exposition (qi) was called for in the first two lines; the development of the theme (cheng), in parallel verse structure, in the middle, or second and third, couplets; and the conclusion (he) in the final couplet.
