Noticing Newbies

Hello, everyone!

I'm Rob and I am a Western New Yorker who has recently delved back into writing. I hadn't written anything in years until recently and I've found myself getting excited about it again. It's going to take some practice before I get good (or at least passable) at it again, but that's what I intend to do. I came on here hoping to meet some new people and draw some inspiration from them.

I read a lot. I enjoy just about anything from authors like John Irving and Pat Conroy to crime writers such as Lawrence Block and Michael Connelly. I studied literature in college and gravitated toward 20th century American Lit. Steinbeck is one of my absolute favorites.

When writing, I tend to gravitate toward crime fiction. I'm currently working on something based here in Buffalo, NY. We shall see how that turns out. As I said, I'm a work in progress when it comes to my writing.
