Noticing Newbies

Hello,

I have come to writing.com in hopes of improving my writing. I have ideas for a novel that I would like to publish someday, however as of now I lack the experience needed to actually write it, and I am hoping to learn some techniques here to help me with that. Right now I am still doing research on locations and doing some character development before I start. I am also an avid reader and looking forward to reading some of the material here, and hopefully it will help me a little with my own writing.
