Hello Ella, 3.5 stars is considered right about average. What this really means is that your writing is okay, not too many mistakes, but has room for improvement. If it does anything for you, somebody once copied a passage written by none other than Stephen King and asked members to review it. She received a 2 star average back on it. This just to tell you how picky readers here can be. However, to trample through your port and perma-mark everything with a blanket of the exact same stars, that is not reflective of this site as a whole, only of that one person as a whole. Please don't let that one overactive rater deter you from being here. The vast majority of people here will either send you a proper review with at least some content, or they won't send you a review at all. By the way, you can see who the person was who rated everything by clicking on that little "bell" icon on the left column right close to your email icon. If you open those notifications, you'll be able to see who rated you like that and you can send them an email asking why they didn't leave any comment at all. Hey, I recently had somebody walk through one of my folders and leave me all one-star ratings with inane review texts. Crazy person. I blocked her from my portfolio. You can do that too by the way. If somebody simply won't play fair, put them on the "you can't see me" list. http://www.writing.com/main/my_account.php?action=ea_form&type=block_ignore |
