Noticing Newbies

Okay, so my name isn't Bear. My name's Michael. Bear is the name of the character in the book I'm writing. My mom has been wonderful to read my stories before, but I'd like to get other opinions of my work too. Honestly I think my mom may be biased. I have lots of ideas in my head that I must get out. I know I'm not the best writer in the world so I will be very grateful for any helpful critiques I can get.

I have lived in Arizona for the past year after having spent most my life in Northern Utah. Talk about climate change! I currently have a full time desk job, that is until my writing really takes off and I have more money than I can spend. Until then, I won't quit my day job.
