Welcome to WDC! I'm glad you joined us. Since you're getting a feel for the site, I have a few suggestions.

The left side of the screen has a box, and the first heading is Things To Do &Read. This has a lot to offer. There are activities, such as raffles. Those are fun. There are contests, too. The contests are a great way to meet people and get your feet wet. Since you're a Newbie (someone who is in his/her first six months of membership), there are contests specifically for that. There are genre contests, such as poetry or horror, and a daily contest called The Writer's Cramp. There are also fun contests, like Parabalistics, where you write a pithy piece of advice. This also gives you the chance to read other writing entries.

Lower down is the heading Newsletter Archives. That contains issues of the Noticing Newbies newsletter, along with other newsletters you can read and sign up for. I subscribe to four newsletters, and they are helpful for me. Under that is the Please Review link, where you can request others review a particular piece of your work.

Under forums is a link to Noticing Newbies. I suggest you check that out. One of the great things about WDC is the people. I suggest you look around and find ways to meet people. There are lots of opportunities for this, and I've just listed some. I hope I've helped you.
