Hi Sissy Anm. Welcome to WDC.com. I’m pleased to meet you. We're so glad to have you join us. I'm a formalist poet and have been a member here for five years. I've made good friends since I joined and I'm sure you will too. This is a wonderful haven for writers of all genres and the members and staff are friendly and helpful. This link is an overview about the site that gives a lot of information about the workings here: "Writing.Com 101" . If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. There are a lot of groups that are very helpful in getting Newbies oriented to the site. In regards to your question about focus in writing, which one of all these types of writing is the one you most love? Which one talks to you, to your spirit and expresses your creativity by sharing 'yourself' with others? You can do all this writing, but you need to 'hone' your skills to the one you just cannot resist. Is storytelling your passion? I suggest that you choose the type of writing you are passionate about. Not just writing for writing's sake, but to write in a genre that completes you. That's how I feel about poetry. I hope this helps you. Enjoy yourself in your journey in writing here. Take care and have a wonderful day!
