October Novel Prep Challenge

Though I agree that sometimes it helps with characterization, I try to avoid slang in stories because a conversation (unlike a story/novel) is more casual, heck we don't even use complete sentences at times. A story/novel, for me, is a work of art and should be respected as such. So, unless it's absolutely necessary, I abstain from using slang. Just my opinion.
