I see. That makes sense. Eh, but then again, almost all cultures' gods were portrayed negatively at some point in that show. I wouldn't say it's necessarily that they wanted to cast Egyptian gods as evil as that the mystery of the pyramids' construction was just begging for an alien conspiracy theory. That, and they probably liked the architecture. I just enjoyed the characters. I usually give sci-fi and paranormal series a pretty wide berth for interpretation, so the liberties they take and the traps they fall into don't usually bother me. I actually kind of appreciated that they chose Egyptian mythology; taking the road less traveled and all. That, and as one of the earlier cultures, it fit their timeline. |
