I really must heartily recommend it. It doesn't fall into the trap of schmaltzy and there are no love triangles. Just straight up, End of Days occult horror with a lot of American History thrown in. Ichabod Crane freaking out about how America has diverged from the intentions of the Founders (without falling into a Tea Party, 'government sucks' sort of trap) is hilarious.
