October Novel Prep Challenge

I am a non-denominational Christian woman who is active in my church and I also lead a weekly bible study in my home. With that being said, I have found it quite difficult to take my RL beliefs and put it in to my characters. I would love to write Christian fiction. I just can't seem to do it without sounding "preachy." My stories are set in the real world and I tend to write from a secular POV. I simply don't address religion in my stories. Again, I hope one day I will be able to write Christian fiction. At this point, I just don't know how.
