October Novel Prep Challenge

The object/symbol I chose for this novel is actually clothing. The conversion centers require residents to only wear earth tones (Browns, greys, greens, deep orange) to strip away individuality and create an air of masculinity. Then the reverse is used. Only feminine colours are allowed, no earth tones for the same reason, knowing how important this especially to these men. The reverse conversion is just as torturous as the first, if not worse in some ways. These symbols/objects and their meanings to each individual who has them forced upon them is both different and extremely powerful.
