October Novel Prep Challenge

Hi Everyone! Here's my nerdy question for the day. I hate to admit but it's really been on my mind...yes, I can be such a dork.

Anyway, I grew up in the days when we used typewriters...yes, typewriters! And I was taught that two spaces follow a period that ends a sentence. Now I'm learning that we don't do that anymore! We put one space after a period.

My problem is that after 40 years of typing two spaces, how the heck am I going to train my fingers to stop at one???!!!

I feel doomed for NaNo.
