I have sent many manuscripts out to publishers. Always read the guidelines first. There may be a few that would accept 2nd copyrights, but most want to be first and if your piece has been online for everyone to see, it is considered published. If you are in a writing group that is closed to the public, that would probably be okay, but I'm not 100% sure about that. Others here may (and probably do) know more about this than I do. *Smile*
