Noticing Newbies

Aloha and Hello to you all,

I am Fa'afalea'i Siliva from the small island called American Samoa (US Territory) where the coconut trees never seem to stop growing and where the tourists like to go for vacation because of its beaches and people are very friendly. Sometimes too friendly! . I am currently living in Hilo, Hawaii and attending the University of Hawaii at Hilo majoring in Anthropology, Linguistics and History. Minor in Japanese Studies. I love learning new languages and other people's cultures. I love making friends from all over the world.

I try to look for the better things in life and the best in people. I believe that you can achieve anything and everything through hard work....the bible version, "You can do all things which Christ strengthen me."- Philippians 4:13--as long as you don't quit.

One of my favorite hobbies is writing--my stress reliever, my companion who listens and accepts but never responds. To me, writing takes your mind off of things. Your troubles. Your worries. Your burdens. I'll be having a bad day and for me to feel better, I just write. Sometimes, what I'm writing does not make sense, but I just let it go. Go with flow. I sometimes surprise myself with what I put on paper and I'll be like, "Is that even you?" I guess you can say it's my home remedy for anything.
