Noticing Newbies

Here's one perspective on the anonymous thing:

Let's just say I had been here 8 years and my name looked like this: "yellow box, 1uppyear (1520)" Someone might conclude that I really know what I'm talking about. If you looked at my portfolio, I might have 3500 items, which might be daunting. If you looked at the reviews I've received, you might see lots of "great stuff. Wow, you are my hero." If you saw this, would you give more weight to the review I gave you? You might not, but others might and as a reviewer I might not know who will and who won't, so I choose to go anonymous because I don't know everything and my opinion could be taking as more than just an option in this case.

I'm someone who, obviously, doesn't use my real name around here. Just the way it is.
