Noticing Newbies

Hello from a newbie x2! I had been a member of WDC probably 10 years ago. Lack of internet was the reason for my leaving, and I felt lost without all of my fellow writers. I was a very active member of the community, which made it such a sad goodbye for me.

A couple of years later, I decided to get my internet back. It was after I had lived in a house that was positively haunted, right down to stuff flying off of shelves and the dryer door - which opened downward - opening and slamming shut before the dryer could even stop running. Sir Issac Newton might agree that what goes down, generally doesnt come back up, gravitationally speaking.

Anyway, I became very interested in the paranormal, so I decided to start my own research team. Now I cannot stand acromyms playing off of T.A.P.S. (ie S.A.P.S., G.A.P.S, M.A.P.S....good grief!), so my team was called North Carolina Paranormal Research Society (really rolls right off the tongue, don't it? Hey, don't judge me, I was a noob, lol), or NCPRS for short.

We did very well, actually, and were invited to do local television, teach a Paranormal Research class at our local Community College and had a luncheon in our honor, hosted by our local Lions Club, during which we gave a presentation. I had to turn down the television spot, as well as the teaching gig - the former, I was too shy, and the latter, we had scheduling issues. But all in all I have lots to write about.

It was a week or so ago that I remembered some long lost pictures on my old Myspace account, when I rediscovered my old faerie warrior princess sig, and the memories all came flooding back to me. "Word Warrior! I am Word Warrior!" When I went to sign up again, I was thrilled to be able to use my old handle, albeit squished into one word. I may gave to change that. Just doesn't have that old feel to it.

I also have a 4 year old granddaughter, Destiny, who is my Sunshine, and whom I've already started writing about. She is the love of my life!

Okay, well there you have it. I am glad to be home again, and I would love to share all that I learned here with my fellow newbies, and I will, through the 3 R's - Reading, Rating & Reviewing. Take care, and God bless!! ~*~April~*~
