Noticing Newbies

3rd person has its definite advantages, I agree. My novel is a 'what-if' I (meaning me) had taken a slightly different course in life, and I identify with him a lot. I found the chapter I accidentally wrote in 3rd lacked a lot of the emotion that the rewrite into 1st had. Most likely this is due to my lack of experience in writing (and I'll surely take the 'knock' for that).

But I will certainly think hard on what you've said.
