So, here is what I am finally putting into practice. I hope I will make sense to you. Write. Write every thought down that you can. Don't stop to edit until you can't get anything else out. Wait for as long as you can before you edit. In my mind, editing is the final aspect of a writer's creativity. So switch streams in your initial flurry. Get your ideas out and worry about prettying things up later. It' s (writing a story or a poem) where you really can take back what you said! Relish this freedom!
